The practice

Three doctors, one front door

An office that has grown one doctor at a time, and kept the same way of working.

  1. 1988

    Step 1: The office opens

Dr. Arnulfo Bolanos opens the office on Union Street with one table and a front desk. Patients come from town and from the farms and villages up the road.

  2. 2004

Step 2: A second doctor joins

Dr. Latonya Staten joins and starts the movement visits, where each exercise is taught one at a time and written down in large print.

  3. 2019

Step 3: The entrance is rebuilt

Dr. Jonathan Goodwin joins, and the front walk is rebuilt without a step, with a push-button door.

Questions

Questions we hear most

What happens at my first visit?

You talk with your doctor about what you want from care, then have a hands-on exam. Your doctor explains what was found and what is suggested, and you decide. A first visit takes about an hour. Bring your insurance or Medicare card and a list of the medicines you take.

Is chiropractic care safe?

Chiropractic care has known risks. Many people feel sore for a day or so afterward. Rarely, an adjustment of the neck has been linked to a tear in a neck artery, so your doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment. Tell your doctor about your health history, and if something calls for your physician first, we say so.

Do you take my insurance?

We bill Medicare for spinal manipulation, and other plans where the plan allows. Medicare covers only spinal manipulation. Call the front desk with the name of your plan and we will check before your first visit. How fees work has the details.

Do I need x-rays?

Only when they are medically necessary. Your doctor tells you why one is suggested, and you can say no. Medicare does not cover x-rays.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please call us as early as you can if you need to change a visit. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
