How fees work
Six questions about paying, answered in plain words. We give you the cost in writing before care begins.
Insurance we work with
We bill Medicare for spinal manipulation, and we bill other plans where the plan allows. Medicare covers only spinal manipulation. Exams, x-rays and other services are not covered, and we give you an Advance Beneficiary Notice (ABN) before them. After your Part B deductible you pay 20% of the approved amount.
Medicare, in plain wordsMedicare Part B (original Medicare)
Medicare Advantage plans, where the plan allows
Medicare supplement plans, which may cover your share
Most other plans: call with your plan name
If you pay yourself
If you pay yourself, your doctor tells you the fee for each part of a visit before care begins, and we write it down for you. Nothing is added afterward.
Receipts for reimbursement
If your plan reimburses you, we give you an itemized receipt (a superbill) that lists each service, so you can send it in.
An estimate in advance
If you do not use insurance, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate before your visit.
Checking your benefits
Call the front desk with the name of your plan, or bring your card to the first visit. We check what it covers and tell you before care begins. Your plan has the final say, and we cannot promise what it will pay.
Changing a visit
If you need to change a visit
Please call us as early as you can if you need to change a visit. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
A call is enough
There is no form. Call, and a person answers.
After a snowstorm
We open late after heavy snow. Call before you drive.
Finding another time
We can often find another time the same week.
Ask us for the cost of a visit
We put it in writing before care begins.
